The Farnham Astronomical Society was founded in 1971 by a group of keen local amater astronomers to further interest in the night sky and all things astronomy. We are a friendly and informal society, with a membership spaning a wide range of ages and experience. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
This website is essentially on-line magazine, a platform for content management to organise data for public as well as coordinate image materials from members.
Astronomy is amazing science and now with affordable telescopes amateurs can provide essential data on a professional level.
Empire Elements has provided the Farnham Astronomical Society with a web site that is simply wonderful. Richard was able to understand our requirements quickly and translate these into an innovative website that offers members and visitors a much more exiting experience. We also have a more functional site and are seeing other benefits such as Search Engine Optimisation as well - our content is now easier to find on Google, It is possibly the best web site of any UK Astronomy Society. Great improvements have been made at the back-end too - much to the delight of our webmaster; creation and publishing of new content is also easier. There was obviously a good understanding of the technology behind the work by Empire Elements. Transition from our old static site was handled very smoothly and Richard even helped with migration of the content. Support was always on hand to help with this task.
